married couple in our 40's...just moved to austin to be closer to husband's work & our family. just starting out, so unable to afford all of the deposits & other costs that go with renting a place of our own. very low-key - no drinking, no drugs, no parties. i am a smoker but more than willing to work around that, if need be. also, i have a teen son, who does not live with us full-time, but do have regular visitation (every other weekend, some holidays, etc.), so finding someone open to/ok with/willing to work around the fact would be awesome. we're needing a long-term agreement &, who knows, maybe even a possible friendship - someone who likes to get together every once in awhile for a bbq or nite out; prefer someone who can easily converse with, not just "2 ships passing in the nite" with the occasional "hi" & "bye," if we're lucky. i love to cook, trying out new recipes, & love most food, in general; we're not to keen on the whole vegan, organic thing. very low key - don't have too many late nites. a sense of humour on life also helps, along with respect & acceptance of each other & their own individual lives. i need to be close to public transportation, as i plan to work again, once we're more permanently settled. we're not afraid of housework & cleaning up after ourselves well & regularly, so will happily do the same for our leased area(s); &, if cleaning areas is part of the agreement, this ok, too. if any questions, please feel free to ask. we're not into "shady" deals &/or withholding info for a sense of gain. we feel that everything should be open & understood from the beginning. if something does come up along the way, it's best to address it asap/sooner rather than later. move in by 08/01 at the latest.
